Donut and devotions! We are bringing food for the body and food for the soul, as we have a devotion on campus every Thursday morning on campus!
If you are able to sponsor a meal please let us know!
We are officially done with our Ordination classes! We are now excited to be fully focused on outreach, serving to meet some students on the campus of Howard Payne! Our first scheduled outreach is called Donuts and Devotions, held every Thursday Morning at 8am!
Pray for us that we can meet students this semester, and that Reconcile becomes a beacon lifting up the name of Jesus over HPU!
Follow our social!
We got to spend Pam's Birthday week in Colorado Springs!
We met with new friends and old friends sharing our vision for Howard Payne.
The beauty of this city was breathtaking!
Meet Luke! He is the first official student to join us on campus.
Please pray for the incoming freshman class at Howard Payne University! It is the largest incoming freshman class they have seen, totaling 341 individuals. Pray that we are able to minister to, support, and become a community that can shine the light of Jesus for this group of freshmen.
Pam was asked to join in worship by friends of Goldthwaite Baptist Church for their service!
We got to visit long time supporters of Harvest Family Church in Conroe.
As school started we were the guest speakers at a youth rally held at Agape AG in El Dorado.
We are officially Licensed Ministers with the Assembly of God! We were recognized at this year's Lead One Day in Abilene, Texas! Thank you for all your prayers and support!
We are almost done with our Ordination classes! Once completed, we will be able to officially become fully active on campus at Howard Payne University!
We were invited to join May Baptist Church for their monthly worship time. Dr. Nicholas Ewen is the worship pastor there, but he is also the Theater department head at Howard Payne University.
We were able to attend and participate in this year's General Council 2025. The Assemblies of God holds a biannual meeting in which every AG church and ministry is invited to come together. We were not only able to represent our school but also meet with other campus ministries and missionaries.

Pictured: Jonathan getting ready to have a student guitar lesson on campus.
We have successfully completed our licensing exam and interview. Now, we just await word from the General Council regarding our licensing status. This is the second-to-last final checkpoint to pioneering!
We had the opportunity to visit Texas State University Chi Alpha, where we spent some time with our area director, Dick Herman. During our visit, we attended a large group gathering and gained valuable insights as we prepare to start our pioneering efforts!
Throughout the semester, Pam was invited to play cello, joining the HPU choir for various events! It has been a great time of relationship building. Pictured here is their annual Hymn Sing! It was a beautiful worship service in which she joined students and faculty!
While getting ready to launch college ministry, we both continue to serve at Life church preparing the church for expanded avenues of growth and getting ready for the season that is coming. Pam has revamped the digital outreach of the church by creating a new website, as well as through rebranding on social media. Check it out!
This semester, Jonathan continued auditing Greek on campus and received an invitation to join the intramural soccer team. They ended up winning the HPU Intramural Soccer Championship! He has also completed Greek 3, which was challenging but beneficial for his preaching and teaching.
Jonathan had the opportunity to play electric lead and serve as the Music Director (MD) during the worship sessions at the end-of-year Salt Student Conference, where 1,400 students gathered to seek the Lord. It was a fruitful time! We are excited to bring students to this same conference again very soon!
This month Pam was able to attend our sections womens conference. This was a great time to connect with fellow female ministers in our area! Jesus is moving in our section and the unity here is beautiful, thank you to all the NTD ladies who put this on!
We were able to oversee the last student feeding of this semester and made smoked loaded potatoes! Thank you Victor for helping once more as he and Jonathan got together and started smoking 165 spuds at 3am! All put together this year we gave enough free meals to feed every student of Howard Payne.
Jonathan officially finished his first semester of Greek! Thank you Dr. Gramling for being an awesome teacher. It was a semester of learning that was very ὠφέλιμός.
We are entering the Christmas season still busy finishing our ordination classes so that we can enter fully into our next season of ministry.
We are taking special time to pray for all of you who have come alongside us, and we pray that the peace and presence of God be tangible with you and your family this Christmas Season!
Merry Christmas!!!
We were able to spend a couple of days with our fellow Chi Alpha friends in Lubbock! Our vision expanded and much wisdom was gleaned about the process of pioneering. Thank you Nick, Paige, Cullen, Avery and the rest of the Lubbock XA crew for allowing us to spend time with you all, and for giving us hope for a future filled with stories of God moving!
Our friends and Life Church Pastors Lance and Lynette Overstreet have accepted a new position. This is amazing news for them, but sad news for us all here in brownwood as it means this transition has moved them to San Antonio.
In the interim they have asked us to step into a role helping transition the church as pastorate is decided upon. Please pray for Lance and Lynette as they transition, and begin to build a new foundation in a new city.
While in this process of prepping, Jonathan has decided to audit a class on campus! He is learning Greek! This language will be so valuable as a study tool for learning more about the bible itself, but also this is giving him a first hand glimpse into what it is like to be a student at Howard Payne University!
One tangible way for us to serve campus currently is to continue to feed students monthly through your support and the amazing support of Life church! We have committed to serve 150 meals each month for the rest of this school year!
On the surface its just a plate of food, but these meals are enabling us to have meaningful connections with students and faculty as we lay the foundations of ministry.
We are still working hard to build relational foundations with the campus and the locals in the area who the Lord has helped us to cross paths with. As we started this process we prayed for persons of peace who were divinely appointed in our path, and the Lord has truly provided! Many names to list here, too many to put down but please continue to pray for persons of peace who will come alongside us as we continue to prep the ground for ministry to bloom and bear much fruit here in Brownwood Texas.
We had the joy of being prayed for by our fellow ministers in our North Texas District AG section as we were officially recognized and inducted as reverends. Our licensing application is in as well, please pray for a quick processing through as this is all a part of the journey to be able to pioneer on the campus of HPU!
After much preparation and work we are both getting our credentials as reverends with the Assembly of God at this years Lead One ministry day on September 5th!
Simultaneous to this our second level licensing application is in! This is all part of the process of pioneering. We did intense course work over the last few months to get it all done. It is hard work with two littles, but the Lord is faithful and we hope to be licensed before long as well!
We are currently taking our ordination classes, pray for us as the finish line is in sight!
Also Jonathan is currently a student of Howard Payne University. He got the opportunity to audit a class on campus. Please pray for favor as we both continue to build personal connections with students and staff.
Summer has been filled with itinerating, serving life church, and helping with outreach in surrounding cities! We had a blast meeting up with some friends and churches who have faithfully supported and sent us all this time!
Mid-summer we were able to help in a youth outreach at Agape AG in Elderado, Texas. 24 youth attendted and they even made the local news paper.
Life church is growing!
We were able to feed the students of Howard Payne University through Life church 3 times this spring semester! Each time we fed around 140 meals to students, and got to interact and get to know the student population. Through this we got to know a few students and one of them started coming to Life church! Pray as we keep reaching out through the church to embrace the culture of the city, campus, and keep moving forward toward in pioneering!
We have been given the green light to start the pursuit of Howard Payne University!
This means that we have been busy planning and organizing meetings with campus offices to introduce ourselves and our church as an organization set and ready to serve. Gods hand of providence has been on this whole process, so with His guiding we are letting Him build this as He wishes.
We are currently working with the campus now to be able to serve a meal in their weekly free lunch program which typically hosts 150 students in attendance. This meal will allow us as well as Life church as a whole to come together and serve these students directly. Please pray for this as we are working to line it up now and this will go far to help us win favor and trust with the students and the faculty staff of Howard Payne University.
Otherwise it has been an adventure getting rooted in our new town! Brownwood is by no means small but it has felt cozy as our church family has welcomed us in with open arms. Gabriel has loved getting to know his friends, Gracie, Sydney, and Ari and makes it a weekly tradition to run the sanctuary with them. Additionally, Sofia has been adopted a few times over as members of the church help hold her while we play on the worship team. We are deeply grateful for those new friends which have made the transition possible!
We will forever be grateful for the opportunity and lessons learned while serving at Angelo State University. The MISSION remains the same, but we have been led to move our post to station out of Brownwood Texas. We have a wonderful host church called Life Church headed up by Pastors Lance and Lynette Overstreet! We are working through some details now but this area has some 30,000 people in it, two universities (Including Howard Payne University), and is a stones throw from the rest of our district which we have served these past four years. As we work through the specifics, enjoy this picture of Gabriel joining us on drums for worship Sunday morning.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us through text, email, or phone call!
We had the wonderful opportunity to minister at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Brady, Texas! Pastor Gaylen Morris (who is also are sections presbyter), allowed us to come serve as the missionary speakers for their missions Sunday! Please pray for this church in Brady as they serve and send many missionaries to the ends of the earth through their faithful giving!
Thank you to Jacob and Isabella! We got to meet them a little over a year ago, and they became good friends through the course of our time here! Jacob serves as a full time enlisted Airmen at Goodfellow Airforce base and Issabella serves in the reserves and goes to ASU! Jacob helped lead Small group with Jonathan last year, and he and his wife both reach out in their respective units being a light for Jesus in the armed forces! Pray for them, they have a call of God on their life and we are honored to be called their friend. This Picture is from when they bought us our final meal before our newborn came!
As we were building support, bethel assembly was willing to jump onboard our sending team! Thank you! Pastor Israel Flores has been pivitol in encouraging, welcoming, and guiding us in our ministry during our time here. More than just a support window, pastor Israel was willing to share his pulpit, allowing Jonathan to preach a Sunday morning service! Please join us in praying for this beautiful congregation serving Jesus in San Angelo, Texas.
We had the privledge to join Mary and her husband Raul Ramirez as Mary was installed as the head pastor for Agape Assembly of God church in Elderado, Texas! Mary and Raul lead worship weekly for their church, help the prayer team, head up technical crew, and aid in child ministry so when she asked us to lead worship for her instalation service we were honored! Mary has been a strong support and help for us since we first arrived in west Texas! Go Mary!!!
ASU Chi Alpha students were able to attend a weekend long Fall retreat held this year in Lubbock with our sister school Texas Tech University Chi Alpha! Please pray for our students as were challenged to keep growing close to Jesus!
Early in the semester all of the student faith based organizations gather together to hold a group Sunday church service! Here freshmen and uppers alike are invited to get plugged into a ministry! ASU Chi Alpha had the honor of leading the praise and worship!
Simultaneously as the new students were hitting the campus, we were invited to help Pastor Rocky Youngblood (who pastors Victory Assembly of God in Robert Lee, Texas), lead a week long revival outreaching in the town center. We lead worship for each of the night services, and are praying for and with Rocky as he reaches out and serves the Lord in the city of Robert Lee. It was a joy that during one of these services an individual who attended from the city gave their life to the Lord and committed to walk with Jesus!
August, Wednesday the 22nd is move in day! Please pray for us as we begin serving the incoming class by helping them to move into their dorm rooms!
We had a blast serving 9 churches in the central colorado area, as well as serving our fellow Chi Alpha based out of Greeley CO. Thank you Duncan Chance for allowing us to come work with yall in growing the kingdom in Colorado, and sharing your heart for the place you love!
We had the honor of being a small part of the RUI (Reach the University Institute) Conference in Springfield Missouri this Summer. We helped lead the institutes worship services which opened the days sessions and lessons. Pray for these future campus missionaries as they get ready to hit campuses across America this fall!
We are ready to switch gears! Summer is a time for Summer Chi Alpha, worship class training for those wanting to learn how to worship with music, and of course Missions Trips!
This summer we are helping take 15 students on a service project trip to our friends in Greeley Colorado at the end of July. Please pray for us!
Summer Small Group is in full swing, while many are out of town it is still a wonderful time to serve and share Jesus with those who are taking summer classes.
While the pic on the side is not from this summer, it is from one of the last small group nights jonathan had at the end of the year. Miss everyone and can't wait to start the next school year!
End of semester graduations, end of regular weekly large group Chi Alpha meetings, and many hard goodbyes. The final month of the school year saw 7 decide to be baptized! Amen!
This semester has been transformational for the quality of our community and fellowship. Thank you for praying that we grow together as a family, and that we grow in our closeness to the Lord, God is good had indeed done both of these things for our Angelo State Chi Alpha.
We were able to witness a group of students who had nothing in common, and even less reason to be together gather together and grow close under the name of Jesus. Our friends Bryson and Roy are committing their lives to Jesus and have become the catalyst for our fellowship to grow strong and close. This semester our students are taking to heart learning that what god does in you, he wants to do through you!
Spring break mission trip is a wrap! Team Amarillo lead by Ryan Goff ministered to the refugee population in the northern panhandle, and took 10 students who decided to faithfully sacrifice their much deserved spring break to love people in the name of Jesus. One story that ryan brought back was how a student named Naythasoe went home from camp that week and his mother noticed a difference in how he was acting. When asked what happended to him, Naythasoe replied that he was acting different because he belived that Jesus was the son of God, and that while at camp he felt the presence of Jesus, and that that presence changed him!
This season has been filled with new friends, new adventures, and getting to be a part of introducing the students of Angelo State University to Jesus. We have seen 6 be baptized this semester, these 6 have decided to follow Jesus after a couple of months learning about him and what it means to be in relationship with him.
The close of the semester is one of our favorites, with us getting to live through the holiday season together with the students. A large gathering of students gathered to break bread and share a thanksgiving meal together.
Later in the semester we got to see 24 students sign up to serve on missions trips and service projects next semester, and during the upcoming summer. Join us as we pray for them and what they have committed to do!
